In order to promote the interconnection of national information infrastructure along the “Belt and Road”, the “China-ASEAN Sea-and-Air Cable Interconnection Seminar” hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and jointly sponsored by China Communications Research Institute and XUPT will be held in Xi’an from July 2 to 4, 2018

The Seminar was based on the theme of “China-ASEAN Sea-Based Cable Interconnection”, with more than 50 representatives from the communications authorities and enterprises from Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines and Myanmar. Zheng Kai, Director of the Asia Division of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Qiao Famin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the China Communications Research Institute, and Fan Jiulun, President of Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

On the morning of July 4th, representatives of ASEAN countries came to XUPT to have a discussion with the teachers and students of the School of Computer Science and expressed their appreciation for the achievements of our school in related fields.
