In the morning of Oct. 15th , the opening ceremony of the Training Class for the 12th Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT), undertaken by XUPT, was held in academic exchange center of Chang’an campus. Those telecommunications officials, who are from Bangladesh, Fiji, Maldives, Malaysia, Mongolia and Thailand, have begun to take part in the 12-day training courses in XUPT.      

The theme of the training class is “Mobile Platform and Its Value-Added Services”, which includes Globalization, Development and Business Model of Mobile Value-added Services in China and the related experiments.

XUPT is the only training basis concerning foreign affairs in Northwest China which focuses on ICT technology training. From 2002, XUPT has begun to hold the training class to train management and technical staffs of ICT field for APT and ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations). At present, it has trained approximately one hundred staffs, and obtained the evaluation of “EXCELLENT” by APT Secretariat.
