In the afternoon of Oct. 9th, “XUPT Humanity Forum”, organized by School of Humanities & Social Sciences and Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, was held in the administration building of Chang’an campus. Hans Selugga, a history professor from University of California Berkeley and part-time professor from Chinese University of Hong Kong was invited to make an academic report “The Political Philosophy after Marx and Ludwig Wittgenstein” for the faculty and students of XUPT.
Professor Selugga was born in 1939 in Germany, and he graduated from University of Oxford in Britain, and from 1971 to now, he has worked in the department of philosophy of University of California Berkeley. He has engaged in American and British philosophy and Continental philosophy for a long time. As a well-known scholar in the world, Professor Selugga’s works have a tremendous influence in western academic circles.
