On July 5th, the establishment ceremony of Shaanxi Information Engineering Institute was held in Informatization Center of Shaanxi Province. Vice-governor of Shaanxi Province Li JinZhu and Academician Duan Baoyan of CAE (Chinese Academy of Engineering) unveiled the nameplate of Shaanxi Information Engineering Institute.

Shaanxi Information Engineering Institute is co-constructed by XUPT and enterprises. It is a research institute of strategy and technology with information technology application of new generation, and it will provide decision support for provincial government in green economic strategy and social development. And Professor Zhuzhixiang of XUPT will be the president of the Institute.

Shaanxi Information Engineering Institute will take full advantage of the present research conditions, and combine the industry transformation with market advantage of Shaanxi IT enterprises. On the bases of the existing service system of informatization basic resources, Shaanxi Information Engineering Institute will form the model of resources integration use and complementary advantages for industry-university-research cooperation, so that it can enhance Shaanxi Province’s development on big data, cloud computing and Internet of Things and so on. It will promote the informatization technological innovation, industry innovation and model innovation of Shaanxi Province.
